Metro Jaya Police Reinforce National Commitment and Tolerance Values for Civilian Employees

The Metro Jaya Police held an activity to strengthen national commitment and tolerance values for its Civilian State Apparatus (PNPP). The event was held as part of efforts to tackle and prevent radicalism and intolerance. The activity, which took place at a hotel in Jakarta, was opened by Metro Jaya Police Deputy Chief Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono on Thursday (30/7/2026). The event featured speakers including the Head of the Centre for Education and Religious Training Strategy at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prof Dr Ahmad Zainul Hamdi MAg, and a National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) human resources expert, retired Commissioner Drs Sutriyono. In his remarks, the Deputy Chief of Metro Jaya Police stressed that the activity was part of efforts to strengthen ideological resilience and national commitment among all personnel. He stated that every member of the National Police, including PNPP, must consistently uphold Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, and the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia as the foundation for carrying out their duties. ‘Public trust in the National Police is a mandate that we must continuously maintain. This can only be achieved through the integrity of every personnel who upholds national values, respects diversity, and rejects any ideology contrary to Pancasila and the constitution,’ said Brigadier General Dekananto Eko Purwono. He explained that challenges to national unity are becoming increasingly complex. Threats do not always appear in physical form but can also emerge through various information and digital content consumed daily. Therefore, police personnel must possess strong ideological resilience to respond wisely to every development without being easily influenced by divisive ideologies. The Deputy Chief invited all participants to use the activity to broaden their insights, deepen their understanding, and strengthen their national commitment as a foundation for carrying out their duties. He also urged every personnel member to become a role model in maintaining unity, respecting diversity, and fostering mutual respect in the workplace and within society. ‘Through this activity, I hope the national spirit of all personnel grows stronger, serving as a guide in every task. Let us continue to strengthen unity, maintain solidarity, and demonstrate exemplary conduct in social, national, and state life,’ he concluded.
