Samsat Metro Jaya Police have now provided a one-stop Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) service, which is expected to make it easier for the public to confirm violations, pay fines, and lift vehicle registration blocks.

“We have observed that citizens captured by ETLE, who then confirm and pay their fines, often face vehicle registration blocks; these can now be serviced directly at Samsat,” said the Director of Legal Affairs of the National Police Traffic Corps, Brigadier General I Made Agus Prasastya, during an inspection of the Regional Traffic Management Center (RTMC) and Samsat service centre at Metro Jaya Police, Jakarta, on Wednesday (23/9).

“Alhamdulillah, currently at Samsat Metro Jaya, the service for lifting ETLE blocks is available, ensuring that motor vehicle administrative processes can be carried out effectively,” he added.

Made Agus noted that the ETLE block-lifting service at Samsat provides convenience for the public in completing administrative obligations following traffic violations. Consequently, citizens no longer need to visit multiple different locations to complete vehicle administration after confirming and paying ETLE fines.

Made Agus also urged the public to utilise the Digital Korlantas application before visiting Samsat. Through this application, citizens can check and confirm suspected ETLE violations more easily.

“Before going to Samsat, please download the Digital Korlantasia application to confirm ETLE status. By entering the reference number and vehicle plate number, the public can determine whether their vehicle has been flagged by ETLE,” he said.

He expressed hope that the use of the Digital Korlantas application would help the public obtain early information regarding their vehicle status. This would allow citizens to understand the necessary steps to take before visiting Samsat and prepare the required documents.

Made Agus reminded those whose vehicles have been flagged by ETLE to promptly settle fine payments through the official payment channels provided. Such payments should be completed after the public has received and confirmed the violation information.

“If you are flagged by ETLE, please settle it through the prepared payment channels. After that, you may proceed to Samsat for the subsequent vehicle processes,” he stated.

He also reviewed the effectiveness of enforcement against vehicles using counterfeit Vehicle Number Plates (TNKB) via the ETLE system.

“We also reviewed the effectiveness of ETLE, particularly regarding the rise in counterfeit TNKB. Metro Jaya Police have been very effective in taking action against those falsifying vehicle number plates,” he concluded.
