Metro Jaya Police Detain Richard Lee

Metro Jaya Police have detained Dr Richard Lee after questioning him as a suspect in a case of alleged consumer protection violations related to beauty products and services. ‘The suspect DRL was detained at 21:50 WIB at the Metro Jaya Police Detention Centre,’ said Kombes Budi Hermanto, Head of Public Relations for Metro Jaya Police, in a statement on Friday (6 March 2026). Budi said Richard Lee was questioned for four hours from 13:00 to 17:00 WIB. A total of 29 questions were put to him. Several procedures were carried out before detention of Richard Lee. ‘Before detention, the suspect underwent a health check by Polda Metro Jaya’s Biddokes including checks of blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and body temperature with normal results and the ability to carry out activities as usual,’ he said. ‘Before detention, the suspect’s personal belongings not related to the evidentiary process were deposited with his legal counsel,’ added Budi.”
