Metro Jaya Police commemorate Nuzulul Qur’an to strengthen personnel’s faith and integrity
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Metro Jaya Regional Police held the Nuzulul Qur’an 1447 H/2026 CE at the Al Kautsar Mosque of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, aimed at strengthening spiritual and mental coaching for personnel. ‘The Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration is part of a series of spiritual development activities during the holy month of Ramadan within the Metro Jaya Police environment,’ said the Head of Human Resources, Kombes Pol Dwita Kumu Wardana, in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday. Dwita also hoped that through this activity the values of the Qur’an could be more deeply embedded in the performance of policing duties. ‘This activity is a moment to enhance faith and piety and to strengthen the professionalism of personnel so that in carrying out duties to protect, nurture, and serve the community it can be done with wholeheartedness and integrity,’ he said. Dwita also noted that the Nuzulul Qur’an commemoration is expected to strengthen spiritual values while increasing the devotion of Polri personnel to the community, nation, and state. He added that the activity was carried out based on Telegram Letter No. ST/258 of 2026 dated 4 February 2026 regarding directives to enliven and fill Ramadan activities. The event was attended by Wakapolda Metro Jaya Brig Gen Dekananto Eko Purwono, senior officials of the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Bhayangkari, and personnel across the force. In addition, around 2,000 participants took part, comprising senior police officials, police personnel, Bhayangkari, and orphans, with a sermon delivered by Ustaz Adi Hidayat for the attendees.
