Metro Jaya Police and Jaya Military Command Strengthen Synergy to Maintain Jakarta's Security
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya are strengthening their synergy in maintaining the stability of security in the capital city of Jakarta through a joint sports activity held at the West Plaza of Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Saturday.
The event was attended by the Metro Jaya Police Chief, Inspector General of Police Asep Edi Suheri, and the Jaya Military Commander, Lieutenant General Deddy Suryadi, along with senior officials from both institutions.
“The joint sports activity is held as part of personnel physical development while also strengthening the synergy and solidarity between the TNI and Police in maintaining security stability in the capital,” said the Director of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya, Police Commissioner Komarudin, in his statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
Komarudin also explained that the activity aims to maintain stamina so that personnel remain in top condition amid the high mobility of Jakarta’s residents. The physical readiness of personnel is considered an important factor in supporting the implementation of duties in the field.
“In the midst of the density of Jakarta’s community activities, Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya are always ready to anticipate various dynamics so that all activities run safely, orderly, and smoothly. That readiness must be supported by good physical condition,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Operations Assistant of Kasdam Jaya, Brigadier General TNI M. Iswan Nusi, stated that the activity also serves as an opportunity to foster closer camaraderie between TNI soldiers and Police personnel.
“This activity is very positive. Besides maintaining fitness amid busy duties, it also strengthens TNI-Police cooperation so that the implementation of tasks for the community becomes even more optimal,” he said.
Through this activity, Polda Metro Jaya and Kodam Jaya have reaffirmed their commitment to continuously improve readiness and synergy to create a safe and conducive situation in Jakarta.
