Metro Jaya Brimob Establishes Kitchen to Assist Residents Affected by Kemayoran Fire

This activity is a follow-up to the directives from the Commander of the Metro Jaya Brimob, Commissioner Henik Maryanto, ensuring that all personnel are present to assist members of the public experiencing disasters and to provide rapid humanitarian services on the ground. “Brimob must be present among the community, especially when citizens are facing difficulties. This assistance is expected to alleviate the burden on the fire victims,” Henik stated in a briefing on Tuesday (2/6/2026).

In addition to assisting with food distribution, Metro Jaya Brimob personnel also remain on standby around the location to assist with security and post-fire handling alongside relevant authorities. It is reported that the fire in Kebon Kosong, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, on Monday (1/6) night, affected 304 buildings and 354 families, impacting a total of 679 individuals. Currently, the victims are being managed at evacuation posts prepared by the local government.
