Methamphetamine Use Since 2024: PPPK Employee in Bogor District Arrested

Several days ago, the Bogor Police Narcotics Sub-Directorate successfully uncovered drug abuse committed by a PPPK employee, part-time worker with initials AW, who is stationed at the Klapanunggal District Office,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto during a press release on Wednesday (13/5/2026).

From preliminary examinations, the suspect AW has been using the narcotic substance methamphetamine since 2024. Following an assessment, AW is now undergoing rehabilitation as he is considered a victim of drug abuse.

“From the search of the suspect AW, there was an admission that the individual has been using methamphetamine since 2024. So this has actually been going on for quite some time, and now we can take action against the individual,” said Wikha, accompanied by Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto and Deputy Regent Ade Ruhendi.

“We have also coordinated with the Bogor Regency BNN, where the assessment results indicate that AW is a victim of drug abuse. Therefore, he is currently undergoing the rehabilitation process at the Bogor Regency BNN,” he added.

The arrest of AW, according to Wikha, received appreciation and support from Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto. The arrest of AW is hoped to serve as a stern example so that no ASN in the Bogor Regency Government is involved in drugs.

“This proves the commitment of the Bogor Regency Government. At the time of the incident, the Regent immediately called me, ‘please handle this properly, make it an example, a stern example for other ASN, so that no other ASN misuses drugs’,” said Wikha.

“Furthermore, the Regent has invited us to collaborate in conducting checks on all other ASN, so that in the future Bogor Regency becomes a regency free from drugs,” he added.
