Meth Dealer in Klungkung Arrested, Police Seize 8 Packets Weighing 3.42 Grams

The Narcotics Unit of Klungkung Police has detained a suspected methamphetamine dealer identified by the initials I Made WP (35), a resident of Intaran Hamlet, Pikat Village, Dawan District, Klungkung, Bali. Officers seized eight packets of methamphetamine from the suspect, with a total net weight of 3.42 grams.

Head of Public Relations for Klungkung Police, First Inspector I Dewa Nyoman Alit Purnawibawa, stated that Made WP was arrested in Pikat Village, Dawan District, Klungkung, Bali, on Monday (22/6/2026) at around 11.30 pm local time.

‘The arrest stemmed from public information regarding drug trafficking in the Pikat Village area. The Narcotics Unit’s operational team then conducted an investigation and profiling of the target,’ Alit Purnawibawa said when confirmed on Thursday (25/6/2026) morning.

Made WP, who works as a private sector employee, was apprehended at 10.30 pm local time at a workshop in Intaran Hamlet. During a search conducted with local community witnesses, police found two clips of methamphetamine weighing 0.15 grams net each, one clip weighing 0.25 grams net, three plastic bullet tubes, a pair of brown shorts, and a Samsung Galaxy A04s mobile phone.

Following interrogation, Made WP admitted to storing more methamphetamine packets at his home. Police then searched Made WP’s residence at around 10.35 pm local time and found an additional five clips of methamphetamine with net weights of 0.78 grams, 0.70 grams, 0.64 grams, 0.61 grams, and 0.15 grams.

In addition to the methamphetamine, police also seized a bundle of plastic clips, a brown glasses case, an ACIS brand scale, 42 plastic bullet tubes, two bags, two mobile phones, and cash amounting to Rp 1.1 million.

‘The suspect’s modus operandi involved handing over, receiving, selling, possessing, storing, controlling, or supplying Category I narcotics in the form of methamphetamine,’ Alit explained.

Currently, Made WP and the evidence have been secured at Klungkung Police headquarters for further legal proceedings. Follow-up actions include sending evidence samples to the forensic laboratory, case review, investigation processes, coordination with prosecutors, and network development.
