I have noticed that my water bills vary little from month to month. Do meter readers from the city water company (PDAM) just guess how much water consumers have used in a given month? Why not just read the figure on the water meter?

Once my house was uninhabited for two weeks but the monthly bill was the same, even though the water consumption was much lower.

I live in Cianjur, West Java and am connected with PDAM's water network. I would like PDAM Cianjur to explain how it uses the maintenance cost of Rp 300, charged each month for the meter. I have never seen any maintenance or repair done.

If a meter is damaged it is always the subscriber who bears the cost, which is charged by the PDAM employee who repairs it.

I appeal to PDAM Cianjur to improve its service and to supervise its meter readers.
