Floods up to 60 cm deep inundated the Meruya Selatan road segment in West Jakarta. Vehicles could not pass due to the standing floodwaters. Floodwaters up to 60 cm on Jl Meruya Selatan towards Pos Pol Meruya (in front of the Meruya Indah housing complex), West Jakarta. Vehicles are currently unable to pass. Road users are advised to seek alternative routes, according to a statement from the Metro Jaya Police’s Traffic Management Center (TMC) posted on its official X account, quoted by detikcom, on Sunday 8 March 2026.

Flooding was also reported on Jalan Daan Mogot with a depth of 40 cm. The TMC post said vehicles can only travel in the right-hand lane. “Floodwaters up to 40 cm on Jl Daan Mogot in front of Hotel Samala Cengkareng towards Samsat Jakarta Barat. Road users crossing are advised to exercise caution,” it said.

Additionally, flooding occurred on Ring Road Puri Kembangan, West Jakarta, making the road impassable. Meanwhile, Jalan Kapten Tendean in South Jakarta was also flooded but remains traversable. “There is water accumulation on Jl Ring Road Puri Kembangan Jakarta Barat; at present, those heading to Pasar Minggu Cledug cannot pass and road users are advised to be cautious and to use alternative routes,” he said.

Based on BPBD DKI Jakarta data up to Sunday 8 March at 06:00 WIB, 48 RT and 16 road sections were flooded. Flood depths reached 1.7 metres. “BPBD notes that there are currently 48 RT and 16 roads flooded,” said Isnawa Adji, Kepala Pelaksana BPBD DKI Jakarta, in a statement on Sunday 8 March.
