Merdeka Night Carnival Concludes, Traffic at Bundaran HI Reopened

The Merdeka Night Carnival has concluded. Traffic in the Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta, has been reopened.

Monitoring at the location on Monday (17/8/2026), the Bundaran HI area was one of the points in the series of Merdeka Night events held to welcome the 81st Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.

Vehicles were seen crowding the Bundaran HI area. The sound of car horns echoed amidst the crowd, while joint officers were seen continuously managing the traffic flow.

Meanwhile, a number of residents began leaving the event location. They had previously gathered to watch entertainment from the performance stage as well as the carnival car parade.

Traffic diversions had previously been implemented along the route from the Monas area to Bundaran HI during the carnival parade.
