Mercedes-Benz Bus records 36.9% sales growth

JAKARTA — Mercedes-Benz Bus has recorded a 36.9% sales growth during the 2025-2026 period. Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) President Director Naeem Hassim stated that the growth stems from operators’ trust in vehicles meeting safety, comfort, operational efficiency, and after-sales service standards. “Customer confidence motivates us to deliver transportation solutions aligned with industry needs,” Hassim said. Bus operator Sinar Jaya has ordered models including the Mercedes-Benz OH 1626 L, OF 1623 L, OF 917, and O500 2445 to expand passenger services. Collaborations with national coachbuilders such as Tentrem Sejahtera, New Armada, and Adiputro have been crucial in tailoring vehicles to Indonesian operators’ needs. New Armada’s recent innovation for the front-engine OF 1623 model ensures a quiet cabin, enhancing passenger comfort and operator value. This year also marks Daimler Truck’s 130th anniversary globally. Through strengthened partnerships with operators, dealers, and coachbuilders, Mercedes-Benz Bus reaffirms its commitment to a safe, comfortable, efficient, and sustainable passenger transport ecosystem in Indonesia.
