Merak-Bakauheni ferry services operating normally

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has confirmed that ferry services on the Merak-Bakauheni route are continuing to operate normally amid the ongoing eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau (GAK), which is currently at Level III (Alert) status.

The state-owned ferry operator is closely monitoring conditions in the Sunda Strait while ensuring that crossings between Merak Port in Cilegon, Banten, and Bakauheni Port in Lampung remain unaffected.

Passengers and vehicles were observed boarding ferries as usual at both ports on Sunday, with services running according to schedule despite the volcanic activity.
