Menteng robbers identified

JAKARTA (JP): The Central Jakarta Police said yesterday they
know the identifies of the seven men who stole Rp 35 million
(US$13,043) in Idul Fitri allowances from garment company PT
Wijaya Indah two days ago.

However, said Central Jakarta Police Chief Lt. Col. Murrawi
Efendi, "We are still hunting for the robbers."

He said the robbery in Menteng showed similarities to other
robberies at the Centre for Strategy and International Studies
(CSIS) and in the Setiabudi district.

The criminals struck in the morning, using machetes, swords,
guns and a car, he added.

On Jan. 30, Rp 60 million, earmarked for employee salaries,
was stolen from in front of the CSIS building in broad daylight.

Six people lifted Rp 15 million from the home of Suhati in
Setiabudhi, South Jakarta last week. They are also still at
