Menpora Erick: Thank You for President Prabowo's Trust in Kemenpora Transformation
Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Erick Thohir has expressed his appreciation for the trust given by President Prabowo Subianto, which has allowed the ministry to carry out bureaucratic transformation. Menpora Erick stated that bureaucratic transformation is one of the Head of State’s directives applied across all ministries and institutions. He will continue to implement this directive by making various improvements in governance.
“The President encourages bureaucratic transformation in all ministries and institutions. Alhamdulillah, we at the Ministry of Youth and Sports are also implementing the President’s directive, and he has given us the leeway to transform,” Menpora Erick said in Jakarta on Wednesday (12/8).
According to Menpora Erick, the transformation carried out by the Ministry of Youth and Sports is beginning to show results. One example is the increase in performance, which now stands at 83 percent based on an assessment from the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform.
“As previously informed, for example, we have seen an increase, now reaching 83 percent. Thank you to the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform for assisting us. We will continue to push forward even though we have already improved significantly,” Menpora Erick explained.
In addition to the performance increase, Menpora Erick mentioned that the Ministry of Youth and Sports has once again received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). Menpora Erick considers this achievement as further evidence that the internal improvements within the ministry are yielding positive results.
“Alhamdulillah, we met with the BPK and received WTP again, and this is a positive thing,” Menpora Erick stated.
Menpora Erick added that the performance improvement and the WTP achievement are two indicators that various improvements are continuously being made within the Ministry of Youth and Sports. “These two things prove that we are making many improvements and must be transparent,” he concluded.
