MenPANRB and BKN Head Share Open Messages to Civil Servants
Minister for Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (MenPAN-RB) Rini Widyantini posted a letter addressed to all civil servants (ASN) on the official Instagram account @menpanrb on Saturday, 18 July 2026. The letter was flooded with comments from ASN who said they were moved by its contents. Opening the letter, Rini expressed her respect and gratitude to all ASN who dedicate themselves daily to serving the public. The MenPANRB asked ASN to continue maintaining their integrity in their work to inspire national pride. “Continue to maintain integrity, strengthen the spirit of service, and be the pride of Indonesia,” she stated. Rini expressed her hope that ASN can serve with a smile, remain trustworthy and view their work as an act of worship, and maintain a spirit of serving the nation. It was not explained why Rini wrote this letter, but the full text is as follows: To all civil servants across Indonesia, whom I love and am proud of. Today I want to greet you as fellow human beings carrying a great mandate. I know that not every day feels easy. Some work with limitations. Some face high public expectations. Some must keep smiling while serving, even when harbouring fatigue, longing for family, or personal problems. Yet every morning, you still put on the uniform of service. You still open the service counters. You still answer the needs of the community. You are still present. And know that this presence is a trust and an act of worship. Perhaps not all your hard work receives applause. Perhaps not every sacrifice becomes news. But every child who gets a better education, every patient served with sincerity, every aid that reaches the community, every road built, every piece of data managed correctly, all of it is the real face of a working state. The state is present through your hands. Amidst the various challenges and opportunities for Indonesia’s great leap forward that we face today, I want to invite us all to remain focused on carrying out the great mandate from the country we love. Make challenges a booster to keep the spirit of service alive. It is precisely during challenges that professionalism is proven and service finds its meaning. The history of this nation was not built by those who only work when circumstances are easy. History is built by those who remain standing, keep working, and continue to believe that the good done today will be a legacy for the next generation. I believe there are still very many civil servants who work in silence, without the spotlight, without praise, but with extraordinary dedication. They are the true face of Indonesia. Continue to be ASN who are BerAKHLAK. Continue to maintain integrity, improve competence, strengthen one another, and deliver increasingly quality services. The spirit of ‘Proud to Serve the Nation’ is the foundation of the ASN working culture in providing the best service to our beloved nation and state. Let us prove that the bureaucracy is not merely about running administration, but is a force that brings hope. Thank you for your dedication, patience, and sincerity. Remain a light. Keep serving, even when not everyone sees. Because an advanced Indonesia is not born from the work of one person, but from millions of ASN who choose to continue serving with heart. Keep serving. Keep inspiring. Keep protecting Indonesia. Warm regards, Rini Widyantini, 18 July 2026. Not only Rini, Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) Zudan Arif Fakrulloh also delivered a special message to ASN. In an official BKN Instagram post, a written message from Zudan was displayed. Unlike Rini’s, this message was not handwritten. He conveyed the importance of the ASN’s role in serving the community even if their work escapes the limelight. “Silent service, a growing nation. Not all the work of ASN is highlighted on stage. But in the quiet classrooms, behind service counters, in every report scrutinised carefully, that is where the pulse of a nation is kept alive,” the BKN post stated. According to him, this service must be carried out by ASN regardless of their profession. He revealed that there are 6.7 million ASN who have different ways of serving the country. “Teachers, midwives, Satpol PP, researchers, nurses, doctors, and others. 6.7 million ASN are 6.7 million ways to love Indonesia. Step forward, Allah SWT blesses every sincere work for the nation,” he wrote.
