Menhub to Report Ministry Programme Progress to President This Afternoon

Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi answered a summons from President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday to report on the progress of a number of programmes and policies within the Ministry of Transportation. According to Dudy, the meeting was held to provide an update on the progress of various agendas currently being carried out by the ministry. “He asked about the progress on several matters concerning the Ministry of Transportation,” Dudy said. Regarding the potential discussion of the ceiling fare for air transport, Dudy mentioned that the ministry had also prepared materials and explanations should the President raise the issue. “That will come later as well, if he asks, it has been prepared,” he stated. Dudy confirmed that all materials concerning the ceiling fare were ready. However, further discussion on the issue depends on the President’s direction. “It depends on whether he asks. I mean, we have prepared it in case he asks,” Dudy said.
