Menhub to Evaluate Green SM Taxis Over Train Accident
Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has affirmed that he will evaluate the Green SM taxis in the wake of a train accident at the Bekasi Timur Station area, West Java, on Monday night (27/4/2026). Dudy stated that he has instructed the Director General of Land Transportation to meet with the management of the green taxi operator. “Earlier, I asked the Director General of Land Transportation to meet with the managers of those green taxis to conduct an evaluation, hopefully it will happen today for sure,” said Dudy at Bekasi Timur Station, West Java, on Tuesday (28/4/2026). The Green SM Indonesia electric taxis have come under scrutiny following the disaster where the Argo Bromo train collided with the KRL commuter line at Bekasi Timur Station. This is because, prior to the incident, there was another collision not far from the station involving the taxi operator from the same group as the Vietnamese automaker Vinfast. The entire Green SM Indonesia fleet uses the Vinfast brand.
