Menhaj: Hajj Pilgrim Visa Issuance Reaches 95 Percent

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Indonesia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Irfan Yusuf (Gus Irfan), stated that the issuance of visas for Hajj pilgrims for 1447 Hijriah has reached more than 95 percent. “The issuance of visas has also reached more than 95 percent,” explained Gus Irfan, quoted from a press release on Friday (27/3/2026). “Distribution of Nusuk cards that pilgrims will receive at embarkation,” he said. He urged all pilgrims to maximise manasik as the primary provision so that worship proceeds in an orderly, safe, and Sharia-compliant manner. “We ensure inclusive, safe, and comfortable services for all pilgrims, especially the elderly, people with disabilities, and women,” he stressed. He reminded prospective Hajj pilgrims that the opportunity to perform Hajj is a special calling not everyone receives. “Ladies and gentlemen are fortunate individuals. This manasik becomes important provision so that worship can be carried out correctly, disciplined, and with full togetherness,” he stated. Therefore, Gus Irfan invited all parties to pray for the smooth organisation of the Hajj worship amid global situational dynamics. “We all hope the situation in the Middle East remains conducive so that the Hajj worship can proceed safely, orderly, and smoothly,” he said.
