Menhaj emphasises the importance of thorough preparation to face the Armuzna phase
Makkah (ANTARA) - The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf, emphasised the importance of thorough preparation ahead of the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina phase (Armuzna), noting that this stage is the most crucial point in the entire sequence of Hajj 1447 AH/2026 CE. According to Menhaj, the Armuzna phase requires extra attention and full concentration because millions of pilgrims from around the world will gather at the same location at the same time. “Armuzna is the most crucial point of the Hajj process. This is where all pilgrims from all over the world converge at one place, so meticulous preparation is required,” said Menhaj after leading a coordination meeting with Amirul Hajj at the Makkah Regional Work Office in Saudi Arabia, on Thursday. He explained that the Saudi Arabia’s Hajj Implementing Officers (PPIH) have prepared a tight schedule for moving pilgrims to Arafah to avoid mass congestion, both at the lodging hotels and during the journey to Armuzna. “From the 8th of Dzulhijjah, we will move the prospective pilgrims into Arafah, with calculations and schedules arranged tightly,” said Menhaj. Next, on the 9th of Dzulhijjah, the pilgrims will perform the core Hajj rite of wuquf at Arafah, before moving on to Muzdalifah and Mina in the late afternoon to evening. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has also prepared several mobility service schemes to support smooth movement on the ground, including the implementation of the tanazul and murur schemes. In addition to transport readiness, Menhaj also asked prospective pilgrims to focus on maintaining physical and mental condition ahead of the peak day. “We also ensure that pilgrims are truly physically and mentally prepared for Arafah as only a few days remain,” said Menhaj. As a solution to these challenges, the ministry will maximise the distribution of ready-to-eat meals to pilgrims. “We will maximise the process of distributing ready-to-eat meals to pilgrims,” said Menhaj. He hopes that through the commitment to thorough readiness across various fronts, the entire sequence of the peak rites of this year’s Hajj can proceed safely, orderly, and smoothly, so that all pilgrims can worship with comfort and devotion.
