Menekraf Sees Potential of Crypto Assets as Capital to Accelerate Creative Economy Creators
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency (Bekraf), Teuku Riefky Harsya, views the potential for developing digital crypto assets as an alternative financing option within the creative economy ecosystem.
“I see great potential in Web3 technology and exchanges like ICEx to drive the tokenisation of creative economy assets, from music and films to other Intellectual Property (IP). This will open up broader and more modern alternative financing doors for our local creators,” said Riefky in a statement received in Jakarta on Friday.
ICEx Group is a crypto asset exchange operating as a Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) with a focus on trading crypto assets, Real World Assets (RWA), and custody services. As an SRO, ICEx plays a crucial role in maintaining market integrity and ensuring transaction transparency for investors.
While receiving an audience from the leadership of the International Crypto Exchange (ICEx) Group, Riefky stated that his side is providing two strategic supports for ICEx. First, through the ‘Creative by Indonesia’ campaign, encouraging ICEx to transform from a national champion into a major regional player.
Meanwhile, the President Director and Founder of For U AI, Xue Kai Pang, emphasised that Indonesia is a strategic market amid the global institutional era of digital assets worth USD 3.5 trillion with more than 20 million users.
Leveraging the OJK regulation momentum in 2025, ICEx is present as an SRO that integrates For U AI technology to develop an AI-based economy and tokenisation of intellectual property (IP) for empowering local creators.
“Through exchange infrastructure focused on Real World Assets (RWA) and custody services, we are committed to strengthening the Web3 ecosystem and enhancing public digital literacy, to ensure Indonesia becomes a major player in the AI-based and digital asset economy on the global stage,” said Xue Kai Pang.
Riefky stated that the presence of ICEx and its supporting ecosystem is expected to strengthen public digital literacy regarding Web3 technology. This commitment is part of the government’s efforts to support Indonesian creative brands and talents to compete through cutting-edge technological innovation.
