Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Minister of Population and Family Development (Mendukbangga)/Head of BKKBN, Wihaji, stated that family development always involves the entire life cycle, particularly the younger generation, who need to be equipped with an understanding of family resilience.

“In this human resource investment, a family development approach through the life cycle is required, starting from the pre-marriage period to old age,” he said in an official statement in Jakarta on Friday.

Wihaji explained that the family development business process begins with building eight functions, namely religious function, loving function, socio-cultural function, protective function, reproductive function, socialisation and education function, economic function, and environmental development function, so as to realise quality families with physical, economic, social, and psychological resilience.

“In the end, this will produce quality human resources for Golden Indonesia 2045,” Wihaji said.

The development of family development insights was also encouraged by the Dean of FSH at UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung, Fauzan Ali Rasyid, considering that family law is also studied at the faculty.

“We see the need for this family development insight so that we know how building families is viewed from the national policy perspective, so that in the future students can participate in building harmonious families in society,” said Fauzan.

On that occasion, the Ministry of Population and Family Development/BKKBN and UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung also signed a joint understanding and cooperation agreement on the synergy of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in supporting family development, population, and family planning programmes.
