Menantea to Officially Close on 25 April 2026, Jerome Polin's Brother Reveals the Reasons

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Menantea tea beverage brand will close all its outlets on 25 April 2026. Management expressed appreciation to customers for their support over the past five years. “It is with a heavy heart that we say this. However, as already informed by Mintea2, all Menantea branches will officially cease operations on 25 April 2026,” management wrote. “As a farewell closure, in the last 15 days, MenanTeam wants to give a special gift to you all,” the account stated. One of Menantea’s founders, Jehian Panangian Sijabat, explained several issues faced while running the business. He admitted to insufficient background research on business partners from the start. Additionally, internal oversight was not optimal due to irregular financial audits. This situation triggered various operational problems, including complaints from field partners, unpaid supplier bills, tax reporting errors, and indications of fraud within management. “Over time, we discovered errors in Menantea’s operations,” Jehian said. Jehian and Jerome Polin also used personal funds to support the improvement process over the last two years. “However, we fully understand that all these matters will not heal the disappointment of partners and customers towards Menantea,” he stated.
