Men arrested with 500 grams marijuana

JAKARTA (JP): Police have arrested three men for allegedly
possessing 500 grams of marijuana.

Ridhwan Abdullah, 28, Panud Nugroho, 24, and Mamad, 26, were
attested Thursday afternoon in the parking lot of Mega Pasaraya
department store in Manggarai, South Jakarta, City Police
spokesman Lt. Col. E. Aritonang said Friday.

"Police first received a tipoff that there were routine drug
transactions in the area," Aritonang said.

The three were arrested with the marijuana, which had a street
value of around Rp 1.5 million (US$405), in their possession, the
officer said.

During an interrogation at City Police Headquarters, the three
said that they were residents of Yogyakarta, Central Java, and
were here for a short vacation, said Aritonang.

Police were still looking for the suspects' suppliers, he
