Men arrested for burglary

Three men suspected to be members of a theft ring were
arrested by the Tanjung Duren police on Sunday night. According
to police, the gang has burglarized several houses in West
Jakarta, Tangerang and Bekasi, making off with a host of
valuables and electronic goods.

The burglars also used a mini van they rented for Rp 600,000
from a resident in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, police said.

Based on confessions from the three men, the police then
raided a house owned by an accomplice and stolen goods including
four television sets, a computer and a piano.

The Tanjung Duren police are calling on nearby residents who
had belongings stolen to immediately report to the police as this
will greatly help the police's efforts.(mds)
