Members ponder Doel's love life

JAKARTA (JP): Everybody knows who will be Indonesia's next
president and vice president, so Assembly members have another
question on their minds: Will Doel choose Sarah or Zaenab?

Golkar faction member Rano Karno happens to be the star of the
famous television series Si Doel Anak Sekolahan (Doel Goes to
School). Doel is a young man from a traditional Jakartan family
who rises above hardship, obtains higher education and gets to
choose between two beautiful girls, Sarah and Zaenab.

The series has been running for about four years and Doel
still cannot make up his mind.

These days Rano has to contend with question from many,
particularly female, Assembly members.

"Please tell me who you will choose. You will choose Sarah,
won't you," said Danny Soedarsono, also of Golkar, who admitted
being a fan of Cornelia Agatha -- the actress who plays Sarah.

"Of course he won't. He will eventually pick Zaenab," Suudiyah
Mansyur, who is an admirer of model Maudy Koesnaedy who plays
Zaenab, said.

"No, he won't. Want to bet?" Danny replied.

"Doel will pick the girl of his dreams without hurting the
feelings of the other girl," Rano intervened. "But the answer
won't be until the next episode." (swe)
