Melia Hotel to be dedicated
JAKARTA (JP): Melia Purosani, the first five-star hotel in
Yogyakarta, with 300 rooms, is scheduled to be inaugurated by the
minister of tourism, post and telecommunications on Friday.
The hotel, which began a soft opening last year, is owned by
PT Suryaraya Aninoita International -- a joint venture between PT
Suryaraya Idaman of Indonesia, Singapore Airlines and Steamship
Investment and Development Co., both of Singapore, and Grupo Sol,
the largest hotel chain in Spain.
Located near the Malioboro shopping area, Melia Purosani
offers a wide range of facilities and amenities that are the
standard requirements for a five-star property, including five
meeting rooms with seating capacities of 65 to 90 people and a
grand ballroom for 600 people.
Melia Purosani is the third property of Grupo Sol in
Indonesia, after Melia Bali in Nusa Dua and Melia Panorama in
Batam near Singapore. (vin)
