Mekari Klikpajak Simplifies Management of Integrated PPh Withholding Tax Certificates
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Software company Mekari, a partner of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), has introduced the Klikpajak service to facilitate companies in managing unified Income Tax (PPh) withholding certificates in an integrated manner.
Through the “e-Bupot Unifikasi” service, Mekari Klikpajak assists companies in transitioning from manual tax administration processes to a digital system, particularly in the creation and reporting of withholding certificates via the PPh Unifikasi scheme and the implementation of Coretax.
“We see that companies’ needs for an integrated tax system are increasingly growing. Through the integration of Mekari Talenta and Mekari Klikpajak, we help companies manage tax obligations more automatically and connected,” said Head of Business at Mekari, Stevens Jethefer, in a written statement on Sunday.
The e-Bupot Unifikasi feature provides an end-to-end solution that includes automatic withholding certificate creation, tax transaction management in a single system, integrated Monthly Tax Return (SPT Masa) reporting directly with the DJP, and cloud-based data security that is guaranteed, ISO 27001 certified, registered with KOMDIGI, protected by DMCA, and supervised by the DJP.
Stevens explained that as an official DJP partner, Mekari Klikpajak ensures all provided services comply with applicable tax regulations, including the implementation of e-Bupot Unifikasi in Coretax.
With cloud-based technology support, companies can ensure real-time tax compliance, reduce the risk of sanctions due to administrative errors, and increase transparency in tax reporting.
“Mekari Klikpajak is committed to building a transparent, efficient, and accessible digital tax ecosystem for business actors, so they can focus on business growth without being burdened by the complexity of tax administration,” he said.
Based on internal data from Mekari Klikpajak for the 2022–2024 period, the use of e-Bupot Unifikasi shows an upward trend with an average of 4,299 unified PPh withholding certificates each year.
Activity volume is also high throughout the year, with an average of more than 1,000 certificates per month, and experiencing a surge in December, namely an increase of 33.5 percent compared to other months.
The surge in managing unified PPh withholding certificates in December is generally influenced by annual book closing, accelerated vendor payments, project term disbursements, and compliance reviews for non-employee transactions subject to PPh Article 4 paragraph (2), Article 15, Article 22, Article 23, and Article 26.
From the number of users, e-Bupot Mekari Klikpajak experienced an increase of 18.18 percent in 2024. Meanwhile, in terms of business scale, SMEs recorded managing dozens to hundreds of unified PPh withholding certificates each month, while large companies and enterprises reached thousands of certificate reports.
Stevens opined that this data indicates that digitalisation is no longer a choice, but a necessity to ensure tax management remains efficient and compliant with applicable tax regulations.
