Megawati to seek Mahathir meeting

KUALA LUMPUR: President Megawati Sukarnoputri hopes to hold a bilateral meeting with Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad on the fringes of the Non-Aligned Movement summit, a local daily reports.

The NAM summit will take place from Feb. 20 to Feb. 25 in Kuala Lumpur. Megawati will attend the summit from Feb. 23 to 25 and will be accompanied by a delegation of 90 people, including some of her ministers, according to the New Straits Times.

The Indonesian president will also hold meetings with leaders of other countries attending the NAM event, the paper said. Details weren't provided. -- Dow Jones
