Megawati to go to KL, Bangkok

JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri is slated to embark on another overseas trip later next month to discuss various bilateral issues with neighboring countries Malaysia and Thailand.

No schedule has been fixed for the visit yet, with presidential palace officials saying that they were still discussing it with the two countries.

"It is between August 22 and 28, but it will only be for a few days," a palace official told The Jakarta Post on Monday.

Megawati is expected to discuss issues such as territorial borders and migrant workers, as well as various security issues. -- JP
