Megawati to Attend Eid Open House at PDI-P Headquarters on 21 March

JAKARTA — The Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP (Central Leadership Council), Charles Honoris, announced that Indonesia’s fifth President, Megawati Soekarnoputri, will attend an Eid al-Fitr 2026 open house at the PDI-P DPP office in Central Jakarta on 21 March 2026.

“This year the open house will be held at the party DPP, not at the house, but at the party DPP,” Charles said at the DPR Building, Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday (17 March 2026).

When asked why the open house would not be held at Megawati’s residence as in previous years, Charles stated there was no particular reason for the change.

“It’s possible to invite more people that way. I think there’s no special reason for the Chairwoman to celebrate the open house at the DPP,” he explained.

Charles indicated that the open house would be held at PDI-P at 11:00 WIB. “There’s nothing specific yet, but the DPP was simply informed that there will be an open house at the DPP in the afternoon. If I’m not mistaken, it’s at 11 o’clock, with the Chairwoman,” he added.
