Megawati Receives Ambassadors from Iran, Russia, and Palestine During Halalbihalal, Topics Discussed

JAKARTA - PDI Perjuangan General Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri received visits from several ambassadors from neighbouring countries during the halalbihalal event for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah on Saturday (21/3/2026). The attending ambassadors included those from Iran, the UK, Russia, and Palestine. PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto stated that in this closed halalbihalal event, Mega engaged in friendly conversations with the ambassadors. “From there, it was then agreed to continue with a more in-depth discussion involving the Megawati Institute,” Hasto said when providing a statement at the PDI-P DPP Office, Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026). One of them was Arsjad Rasyid, former Head of the Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD Winning Team in the 2024 Presidential Election. Those seen attending the halalbihalal at Mega’s residence included the Governor and Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung and Rano Karno, who are also PDI-P cadres.
