Megawati meets Olympiad winners

JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri received on Thursday
the Indonesian students who earned medals at last week's Physics
Olympiad in Pohang, South Korea.

"The President told us to return to Indonesia after finishing
our schooling abroad. I would want to return home if I could get
a proper job," said Yudhistira Firgus, who won Indonesia's sole
gold medal at the Olympiad.

Yudhistira, who has been accepted at the Bandung Institute of
Technology, plans to serve an internship in the United States
before the academic year begins in September.

Joining Yudhistira were his teammates Edbert Jarvis Sie,
Andhika Putra, Ardiansyah and Ali Sucipto. The team finished
fifth at the international competition. --JP
