Megawati Hosts Halalbihalal at PDIP Central Board, Ambassadors from Palestine to Iran Attend

The Central Board of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) held a halalbihalal event as part of the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah celebrations. The attending ambassadors hailed from the UK, Iran, Palestine, and the Russian deputy ambassador.

The halalbihalal took place at the PDIP Central Board building on Jalan Diponegoro, Central Jakarta, on Saturday (21/3/2026). PDIP Central Board Secretary-General Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that the ambassadors present were from the UK, Iran, Palestine, and the Russian deputy ambassador.

“The ambassadors spoke cordially with Ibu Megawati, discussing various geopolitical issues as well as matters related to global warming,” said Hasto in his statement on Saturday (21/3).

Hasto explained that Megawati’s discussions with the ambassadors did not end there. They agreed to follow up on the geopolitical talks in a more academic forum.

“It was agreed that a more in-depth discussion will be continued later, involving the Megawati Institute,” he stated.

Hasto explained the reason for choosing Building B as the meeting location. According to Hasto, the venue is more spacious and rich in Nusantara cultural atmosphere.

“At the same time, Ibu Mega is present at the Cultural Board. Gamelan and several musical instruments were also performed earlier. The room is indeed more spacious and practical for this halalbihalal moment,” Hasto concluded.

For information, PDIP Central Board General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri, along with PDIP Central Board officials, gathered to exchange greetings. A number of cadres and invited guests continued to arrive at PDIP Central Board Building B since 11:00 WIB.
