Megawati deserves presidency

As Indonesian citizens we feel ashamed to have a president like Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid who doesn't respect the law.

In addition, he will appoint a minister and then dismiss him for reasons that are too far fetched to be true.

Perhaps this characteristic is derived from the behavior of the Peoples' Consultative Assembly (MPR), which appointed Gus Dur president of the Republic of Indonesia and will now seek his resignation.

Why should the MPR apply political engineering (money politics) by rejecting Megawati when the people wanted her to become president, as demonstrated by her majority of votes (35 percent) in the 1999 election?

Does the failure of this reform government indicate a curse by Allah for the sins of the MPR under Amien Rais' chairmanship?

Let Allah return His grace to Megawati in order to become Indonesian president, who deserves her right to the 1999 to 2004 term of office.

Never underestimate Megawati again because doing so is an act of belittling the Indonesian peoples' message and Allah's grace.
