Mega to inaugurate railway bridge

BANDUNG: President Megawati Soekarnoputri is to dedicate the double-track railway bridge in Cisomang, Purwakarta regency.

Noor Hamidi, spokesman of state train operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia, said on Monday the inauguration was scheduled to follow the recent completion of the railway bridge, construction on which had begun 1.5 years ago.

The 230 meter bridge was built as a replacement for an older bridge erected in 1902. -- JP
