Mega to bestow public service award

JAKARTA: President Megawati Soekarnoputri is slated to give
awards on Monday to three governors, a mayor and a regent who
have managed to improve public services in their respective
administrations.

The award for quality public services will be bestowed upon
Central Java Governor Mardiyanto, West Java Governor Danny
Setiawan and East Java Governor Imam Utomo, Sumenep Regent Moh.
Ramdan Siraj and the Mayor of Semarang, Sukawi Sutarip.

The award was given based on an assessment of the performance
of civil servants in various levels of government, in providing
public services in their relevant sectors.

The assessment was conducted by the Office of the State
Minister for Administrative Reform. -- Antara
