Mega donates braille 'ballots'

BANDUNG: President Megawati Soekarnoputri donated on Friday some 2,000 braille cards to blind people in the city to help them vote in the upcoming presidential election.

Yusi Hasibuan of the official Election Supervisory Committee (KPUD) in Bandung presented the cards to representatives of the blind community at the Wyata Guna Building on Jl. Padjadjaran.

The braille card is the same size as voter registration cards, and lists the candidates and their candidacy number in braille. -- JP
