Meeting with the King of Jordan, Prabowo Reaffirms Commitment to Champion the Two-State Solution
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, met with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, at the Basman Palace in Amman. During the meeting, Prabowo reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to championing a two-state solution for peace in Palestine.
“Yes, Indonesia is committed to doing whatever we can to achieve a lasting solution, and in our view, the only truly sustainable solution is a two-state solution with an independent Palestine,” said President Prabowo in a statement received on Wednesday (25/2/2026).
Furthermore, Prabowo explained that Indonesia’s involvement in the Board of Peace and its support for the 20-point plan initiated by US President Donald Trump are part of Indonesia’s active contribution to finding a long-term solution to the conflict.
“That is why when we were invited to join the Board of Peace and we supported the 20-point plan from President Donald Trump, it was all done with the aim and effort to do whatever we can to achieve that lasting solution,” Prabowo added.
In a warm and friendly atmosphere, Prabowo also expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and referred to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as his second home. Prabowo also conveyed Ramadan Mubarak greetings to the entire people of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as a form of respect and friendship between the two countries.
“On behalf of Indonesia and personally, I would also like to wish Ramadan Mubarak to the people of Jordan,” said Prabowo.
