Meeting with Pramono Anung, Bogor Deputy Mayor Hopes DKI Provincial Government Will Assist with Flooding Issues

Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim explained that he discussed addressing flooding with DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo. The discussion took place in Jakarta on Monday (4/5/2026). According to him, the Bogor City Government (Pemkot Bogor) last received a grant from the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov DKI) in 2018. He stated that the territorial connectivity between Bogor and Jakarta requires cooperation to tackle flooding issues. Dedie said that the healthy fiscal condition of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government could help address flooding in the Bogor area. “We also hope, of course, that there are several sectors assisted by the DKI government, whatever they may be; besides transportation, the flooding issue from upstream, we are trying to adjust to the current conditions,” he added. As an example, on Jalan Kapten Yusuf in Bogor, Dedie revealed that water from upstream no longer enters the drains from the Taman Sari area. “Of course, if there is assistance from DKI, at least how the absorption works, how possible it is, for example, to build something like a water park,” he said.
