JAKARTA - Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel TNI Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, will ensure the availability of oil from Russia when meeting Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday (13/4/2026).

When meeting Putin in Russia later, according to Teddy, Prabowo will discuss several strategic issues, including strengthening national energy resilience through the continuation of cooperation with the Russian government.

“Continuing cooperation with the Russian government and ensuring a stable national energy supply, including the availability of oil,” said Teddy in his statement.

This visit to Russia is part of efforts to strengthen strategic cooperation amid continuously evolving global dynamics.

“Voicing Indonesia’s strategic position in maintaining global stability and peace,” he said.

“In the midst of continuously changing global dynamics, this meeting is very crucial,” said Teddy.

During the visit to Russia, Prabowo is accompanied by Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
