JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto received a report from the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, Rosan Roeslani, regarding the investment realisation achievements in the first quarter of 2026.

Rosan conveyed that the investment realisation in the first quarter of this year reached Rp 498.79 trillion, or 100.36 per cent of the Rp 497 trillion target.

“It represents a 7.22 per cent year-on-year increase. And the absorption of Indonesian labour reached 706,569 people, or an 18.93 per cent year-on-year increase,” said Rosan at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/6/2026).

According to him, the value of foreign investment reached Rp 249.94 trillion.

Furthermore, he revealed that the distribution of investments across Indonesia’s regions is relatively even.

The composition is 50.37 per cent of investments outside Java and 49.63 per cent in Java.

Meanwhile, from the investment sectors, according to Rosan, the most dominant are basic metal industries or metal goods such as smelters, service sector investments, mining, housing, industrial zones, transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications.

“This is evidenced by the incoming investments still aligning with our plans, although they have also experienced a very significant increase, if I may say so,” Rosan added.

He then elaborated on the trend of national investment realisation and targets, showing an increase in the long term.

The details are that total investment for the period 2014-2024 reached around Rp 9,100 trillion, while the target for 2025-2029 is increasing to more than Rp 13,000 trillion.

“The increase is indeed quite significant, but alhamdulillah, the targets are still being met. We hope this investment momentum can be maintained,” he continued.
