Prambanan Regional Hospital (RSUD) in Sleman is facing allegations of malpractice following the death of a three-year-old child after undergoing a CT scan. The patient’s family and the hospital are currently arranging a meeting to facilitate a formal medical explanation.

“As of now, there has been no meeting between our team and the representatives of RSUD Prambanan to provide a medical explanation to the family of the late Naura Dwi Meydita Putri,” stated Purnomo Susanto, one of the victim’s legal counsel, when contacted by journalists on Monday (8/6/2026).

Purnomo noted that communication has been established with the hospital through the Legal Division of the Sleman Regional Secretariat. He added that the Sleman Regency Government has requested that the family allow the hospital time to provide the necessary medical clarifications.

“The request for time to provide a medical explanation was conveyed by RSUD Prambanan via the Head of the Sleman Regency Legal Division, and we are currently discussing this request with our client,” he explained.

He further noted that a meeting with the hospital had taken place prior to the filing of the report with the DIY Regional Police, specifically on Saturday (16/5). At that time, the family and their legal team attempted to seek clarification from the hospital.

“However, at that time, the Director of RSUD Prambanan adopted a defensive stance, making remarks that we felt were inappropriate regarding our presence,” he said.

Following that encounter, the legal team and the family conducted a review and ultimately decided to lodge an official report with the police. “Following that event, after reviewing and deepening our investigation into the matter, on 17 May 2026, we accompanied our client, Anastacia Niken Purwandari, to file a police report with the DIY Regional Police.”

Separately, the Head of the Legal Division of the Sleman Regional Secretariat, Hendra Adi Riyanto, stated that they are awaiting a scheduled time from the victim’s legal counsel.

“We are still waiting for the scheduling from the legal counsel,” Hendra said when contacted today.

He emphasised that the hospital is prepared to provide a medical explanation to the deceased’s family. In fact, a day after the report was filed with the DIY Regional Police, the hospital had already extended an invitation to the family for a medical briefing.

“They are ready. Following the visit from the Regent, Regional Secretary, and the Director of RSUD Prambanan on Sunday (16/5), the hospital had already invited the legal team and the family for a medical explanation agenda on Tuesday, 18 May,” he concluded.
