MediaTek and NVIDIA Launch RTX Spark, a New Era for Windows AI PCs
The personal computing market is entering a new chapter with a strategic collaboration between two semiconductor giants. MediaTek and NVIDIA have officially introduced NVIDIA RTX Spark, a new processor category for Windows PCs specifically designed to accelerate the era of personal AI assistants.

Vince Hu, Corporate Senior Vice President at MediaTek, stated that this launch is a testament to the long-term collaboration between the two companies. “NVIDIA RTX Spark brings local AI supercomputing capabilities directly to consumer devices. This marks a strategic step for MediaTek entering the premium Windows PC ecosystem,” he said.
To date, MediaTek has dominated the Chromebook and mobile device markets. The arrival of RTX Spark serves as a bridge for the company to compete in the high-end Windows PC market. Ben Bajarin, lead analyst from Creative Strategies, believes this move will intensify competition in the premium segment.
“The combination of MediaTek’s power efficiency and NVIDIA’s graphics technology provides more capable local AI capabilities for developers and creators. This is a major step for MediaTek to expand beyond the entry-level segment towards greater growth,” Bajarin noted.
This collaboration also strengthens the existing relationship between the two companies, which have previously collaborated in the automotive sector (C-X1 platform) and data centre infrastructure (NVLink Fusion). With NVIDIA RTX Spark, data-centre-class technology is now beginning to reach the desks of general consumers.
For consumers awaiting these devices, the first wave of laptops based on NVIDIA RTX Spark is scheduled to become available on the market in the final quarter of 2026. Their arrival is predicted to reshape the competitive landscape of productivity and gaming laptops in the future.
