Media: Iran Has Not Sent Any Message to the US

Tehran has said it has sent no messages to the United States and has asserted that it is prepared for a long war, according to the Iranian news agency Tasnim citing a source. ‘Iran has not sent any message to the US, and there will be no response to US messages. The Iranian Armed Forces, however, are prepared for a long war,’ the source said. Citing multiple sources, Axios reported on Wednesday that Israeli intelligence obtained information raising suspicion of possible communication between Tehran and Washington to discuss a ceasefire. On 28 February, the United States and Israel carried out a series of strikes against several targets inside Iran, including in Tehran, with reports of damage and civilian casualties. Government television in Iran confirmed that the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed in the attack. Iran then launched retaliatory missile strikes at Israeli territory and U.S. military facilities in the Middle East. The escalation occurred amid ongoing nuclear talks in Geneva between the U.S. and Iran, mediated by Oman.
