Medan Weather Forecast for 27 February 2026: Heavy Rain Expected

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) has released the weather forecast for Medan City on Friday, 27 February 2026. According to a report from the Regional I BMKG Office of Medan, most of North Sumatra is currently in the transitional monsoon season, which triggers the growth of convective rain clouds.

According to Hendro Nugroho, Head of the Regional I BMKG Office of Medan, the air temperature in Medan is predicted to range from 23°C to 33°C. Although the weather is expected to be partly cloudy in the morning, the sharp increase in temperature during the day triggers high evaporation, leading to heavy rain in the afternoon.

The high humidity, reaching 95% at night, should also be anticipated as it can cause a “muggy” effect, making the air feel very hot and uncomfortable for residents in densely populated areas.
