Efforts to provide affordable animal protein are being expanded through the organisation of food bazaars. As of June 2026, 816 bazaar points have been held as part of a target to reach 1,416 locations by the end of the year. Perumda Dharma Jaya President Director Raditya Endra Budiman explained that the bazaars are held regularly using food trucks that travel to residential areas across DKI Jakarta. “Our main goal is to ensure the distribution of animal protein can be accessed directly by the community. With 816 points already running, we are optimistic that the target of 1,416 points by the end of the year can be achieved,” Raditya said in a statement on Friday (10/7). To broaden the distribution reach, the number of refrigerated vehicles has been increased from two to four units. This step is taken so that meat deliveries can cover more points while maintaining product quality until it reaches consumers. “This additional fleet is our investment to maintain product quality until it is received by consumers, as well as to increase distribution speed according to the community’s needs,” he said. The bazaar programme has received a positive response from the public. Siti Aminah, a resident of Klender Urban Village, said she regularly shops at the bazaar because the meat prices offered are more affordable than at the market. “It is quite helpful because the prices are cheaper and the location is close to home, so I don’t need to go far to the market,” she said. A similar opinion was expressed by Budi Santoso, a resident of Kramat Jati. He assessed that the presence of the food truck makes it easier for residents to obtain meat supplies without having to spend a lot of time going to the market. As a regionally owned enterprise in the food sector, Perumda Dharma Jaya stated that organising the bazaar is part of efforts to maintain food price stability, expand public access to animal protein needs, and support inflation control in Jakarta. Information regarding the bazaar schedule and price list can also be accessed through Dharma Jaya’s official Instagram account.
