PT Medela Potentia Tbk (MDLA), through its subsidiary PT Anugrah Argon Medica (AAM), is strengthening its business operational decarbonisation efforts by introducing its first electric car fleet. This step marks a strengthening of the distribution approach, moving from a focus solely on logistics efficiency towards a lower-emission and more sustainable operational system. MDLA President Director Juliwaty affirmed that this move is part of the company’s long-term transformation in building a distribution system that is more adaptive, efficient, and sustainable. This decarbonisation forms part of the company’s strategic response to changes in the distribution industry landscape, which increasingly demands operational efficiency, faces energy cost pressures, and drives the integration of sustainability principles into business models. The use of electric vehicles not only improves operational efficiency but also strengthens our readiness to deliver fast, precise, and safe distribution services amidst dynamic market needs. This is part of our effort to thoroughly integrate innovation into operations. The transformation is being built in a gradual and integrated manner. By 2025, AAM had operated 106 electric motorbike units across 15 branches in 13 cities. The development of four-wheeled vehicles is a subsequent step in strengthening the energy-efficiency-based distribution system while expanding the impact of low-emission operations. To support this system, AAM is also continuing to strengthen operational readiness through the optimisation of distribution routes, strengthening supporting infrastructure, and improving human resource capabilities. All these initiatives are designed as a unified system that drives efficiency while maintaining service quality. As part of strengthening sustainable operations, the company is also implementing Eco-Driving training for drivers and operational teams to improve safety, energy efficiency, and consistency in the application of responsible distribution practices. PT AAM Director Budi Lim added that the company continues to promote a balance between business growth and environmental responsibility as part of its long-term strategy. Moving forward, we will continue to develop operational innovations that not only boost business performance but also make a real contribution to environmental sustainability.
