MBZ Toll Road Traffic Remains High on H+1 Eid: Exceeds 95,000
JAKARTA – The volume of vehicles passing through the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Elevated Toll Road (MBZ) on H+1 Eid 2026 still showed a significant increase, both for directions leaving and heading towards Jakarta.
PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (JJC) recorded that on Sunday (23/3/2026), or H+1 Idul Fitri 1447 H, the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta reached 49,892 units. This figure increased by 114.67 per cent compared to normal traffic of 23,241 vehicles.
When detailed by time periods, the surge in vehicle volume occurred throughout all periods. In the morning, the increase reached 157.36 per cent, then rose by 64.79 per cent in the afternoon, and increased again by 131.75 per cent in the evening compared to normal conditions.
In detail, for the morning period towards Jakarta, the increase was 55.66 per cent, then rose by 22.15 per cent in the afternoon, and increased again by 46.63 per cent in the evening compared to normal conditions.
“Overall, the total number of vehicles passing through the MBZ Elevated Toll Road in both directions reached 95,321 vehicles. This condition shows that public mobility remains high, both for directions leaving and heading towards Jakarta on H+1 Eid al-Fitr 1447 H,” said Ria Marlinda Paallo, VP Corporate Secretary and Legal JTT, in an official statement on Monday (23/3/2026).
