MBZ Elevated Toll Road to Cikampek Congested, Open-Close System Implemented

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – PT Jasamarga Jalanlayang Cikampek (PT JJC) has once again implemented an open-close access system for entry towards Cikampek on the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed (MBZ) elevated toll road section on Sunday (22/3/2026). This policy is being applied situationally at the discretion of the police following an increase in vehicle volume at the junction between the MBZ elevated road and the existing Jakarta-Cikampek route. The open-close access began at 09:10 WIB. Traffic congestion at the location is the primary reason for this traffic engineering measure to maintain smooth vehicle flow. PT JJC, together with the police, continues to monitor and regulate traffic situationally on the ground. Entry access will be reopened once traffic conditions are deemed normal and under control. The operator also advises road users traversing the MBZ elevated road to prioritize safety during their journey. Drivers are asked to ensure they are in prime physical condition and that their vehicles are roadworthy.
